Daily Bible reading and early meeting story

Favorite Bible verses

Today, I asked everyone’s favorite Bible verses,
and they wrote down without any hesitation.
Even some of them memorized all of the long passages !

Jane’s favorite is from Psalm 46 verse 10.
‘Be still and know that  I am God;
I will exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.’

When I first asked Andrew’s favorite,
He couldn’t decide between so many verses he loves.
But at last he choose from Ephesians chapter 6 verse 10 – 13.
‘Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the full armor of God
so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world
and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armor of God,
so that when the day of evil comes,
you may be able to stand your ground,
and after you have done everything, to stand.’

Lazarus choose two verses both from John.
John chapter 3 verse 3 says,
‘In reply Jesus declared,
“I tell you the truth,
no one can see the kingdom of God
unless he is born again.’
And Chapter 14 verse 6 says,
‘Jesus answered,
“I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.’

Andreza’s favorite is from 1 Corinthians chapter 2, verse 9.
‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him.’

Alessandra choose from John chapter 3 verse 16.
It says, ‘For God so loved the world that
he gave his one and only son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life.’

Ilona’s choice was from Luke chapter 17.
Verse 20 – 21 says, ‘Once, having been asked by the Pharisees
When the kingdom of God would come,
Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God does not come
with your careful observation,
nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or
‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.’

Sue’s favorite is from Psalm 23, verse 1 – 3.
‘The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.
He guids me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.’

Favorite Bible verses

Today, I asked everyone’s favorite Bible verses,
and they wrote down without any hesitation.
Even some of them memorized all of the long passages !

First, my favorite is  from Isaiah chapter 41, verse 10.
It saids, ‘So do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand’

Dawn’s favorite is from Psalm 139.
‘ Where can I go from your spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.’

Annie’s favorite is from Romans chapter 8 verse 28.
It saids, ‘ And we know that in all things
God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose.’

For Leila, it is Psalm 37 verse 4.
‘Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart’

Geraldine’s favorite is from 1 Corinthians chapter 13.
‘ Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
 it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protect, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
And now these three remain :
Faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love.’

What a coinsidence !
Mila and Noemi have a same favorite Bible verse.
Guess what?! It’s from Isaiah.
Chapter 43, verse 1 – 5.
‘But now, this is what the LORD says –
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel
Fear not, for I have reedemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters;
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you’ll not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Crush and Seba in your stead.
Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give men in exchange for you,
and people in exchange for your life.
Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
I will bring your children from the east
and gather you from the west.’

My last Early meeting

Hello, I’m Boyoon from South Korea.
Last Friday was the last early meeting that I led.
Because the time has passed in here so fast,
Next week, I’m going back to my ‘Reality’, Home country.
So today, I want to share my last early meeting story.

We all have two nationalities.
John chapter 3 verse 31 saids,
‘ He that comes from above is above all;
he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth;
he that comes from heaven is above all.’

So that before we’re korean, English,
Ugandan, Hungarian and Brazilian,
We’re from the Kingdom of God, God’s people.
As a God’s people, we’re already blessed.
Because before we die, we’re chosen to be God’s people
and because of the Holy spirit,
Jesus Christ, He’s always with us.
In addition, we live in AD Century, after Jesus’s sacrifice.
Through his crucifixion, we can be frogiven our sins
and have an honor to be in the Kingdom of God.

Luke chapter 17 verse 20 – 21 saids,
‘ And when he was demanded of the Pharisees,
When the Kingdom of God should come,
He answered them and said,
The Kingdom of God comes not with observation:
The Kingdom of God is within you’

This kingdom starts inside of your heart.
Your body is a temple of holy spirit.

John Chapter 11 verse 25 – 16 saids,
‘ Jesus said unto her, I’m the resurrection and the life;
he that believes in me, though he were dead,
yet shall he live.’

And even he’s Kingdom is endless.
No dying and No pain.
beyond our imagination.
It’s really previlage to have a mighty father.

So, what do we have to do as God’s people?
Bible reading, daily prayers and etc.
These can be important.
But for me, one thing comes up my mind recently is
‘ Let others know about this Kingdom.’

Through our love, upright  and Christ – centred life,
We can show his love and make others curious about the LORD.
It could start from really small favor and love to others.
Although it’s a small, first step,
Please happy to do it and don’t miss it.
We’re doing it for God’s glory.

Today’s Early Meeting

In St. Rhadagunds,

We have early meeting everyday on 7:50 a.m and a person tells us a story about God and his glory. Today was Sue’s turn and she introduced us how to pray in her own style. Here is a script of  her tellling 🙂

Today, I want to share two things this time with you. Since I was 5, I’ve been doing these two things in my life. Because of my parents, I had to do these two things. But I realized that doing these two things is very important.

One thing I do in the morning and the other one I do at night.

First one, which is pray especially on my bed right after when I wake up. I just pray thank you that I had a good sleep last night and gives me a new day so I can go to school and work, even play with my friends. And I also pray that please be with me during my day so that I can live for only God’s glory. Doing this is very easy. It doesn’t take long time but sometimes people just couldn’t do because It’s very easy. But I realized that doing little things can make very big difference in our lives. So I suggest you to pray right after when you just wake up.

Second one which is I give thanks to God before I go to bed at every night. Actually I have a notebook which is only I am using for give thanks to God. I always give thanks to God at least 10 in a day and write them down in my thanks notebook. Even though I had a not really good day, I try to think what God gaves me that day. I know that I am just nothing without my Father’s help and grace. That also include my bed day.

Here are some good examples she showes us today !

First one, the title is ‘Good morning, Jesus’

Good morning, Jesus ! It’s a great new day with lots to do and lots to play. It’s nice to know I have a friend like you who cares for me however I do. At St. Rhadaunds throughout this day stay close to me,  Dear jesus I Pray, Amen

Second one title is ‘Thank you, Jesus’

Thank you Jesus, I’m so pleased you even bless me when I’ve sneezed. Thank you Jesus, I’m so happy you even love me when I’m snappy.
Thank you Jesus, I’m so grateful you even like me when I’m hateful.
Thank you Jesus, I’m so gladj you even help me when I’m bad.
